Karl Ratzsch's German Apple Pancake

Quite possibly the oldest Ratzsch recipe I've found - a newspaper clipping dated 1950 found in a second-hand cookbook. I do not know which newspaper it came from.

1 cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
4 tablespoons flour
4 eggs beaten
1 apple, sliced
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar

Preheat oven to 440 degrees. Sauté the apple in a large pan with an oven-proof handle.

In a large bowl, mix in all ingredients, except the eggs. Then add the eggs to the batter and stir until smooth. Pour the batter into the fry pan over the apples. When brown, turn pancake over.

Drizzle melted butter over pancake and cover in cinnamon sugar. Bake for approximately 7 minutes.
